I tend to see beauty everywhere and flowers inspire me tremendously. This textured abstract expressionist painting aims to take the viewer to a place of contemplation. The strong colors ignite emotions of passion and joy whilst the ghostly flowers reminisce of more serene past times. The eye falls through the shapes and settles on the dreamy blues and lilacs as the brain ponders.
I used fluid acrylic paint to begin with and then applied heavy textured strokes using the pallet knife to build up various layers and bring a sense of rhythm to the piece.
This paintings comes ready to hang. It does nor require a frame, the sides are an integral part of the piece.
