From the title alone, Women Crafting the Future carries a powerful message. This exhibition is about women shaping the world through creativity, resilience, and vision. It brings together female artists and creators who use their talent to challenge perspectives, tell stories, and redefine the spaces they inhabit.
Held at the Muzeul Național al Literaturii Române and organized by Academia de Artă Handmade București, the exhibition highlights the impact of female voices in the arts. It is a space where fine art meets craftsmanship, where tradition blends with innovation, and where every piece speaks to the power of creative expression. Being part of this exhibition was an incredible experience.
An Opening Night to Remember
From the moment I arrived at the museum, the energy in the room was electric. This wasn’t a quiet evening of politely admiring paintings—it was a vibrant celebration of creativity.
The night opened with a live performance, a stunning mix of jazz and opera that filled the space with emotion. The music resonated through the gallery, adding another layer of depth to the experience. It wasn’t just an exhibition—it was a moment that brought different art forms together in a way that felt powerful.
And then, I found myself stepping onto the catwalk.
My First Runway Experience
Yes, I walked in a fashion show! Mioara Iofciulescu, designer of the new fashion brand Artistry, invited me to be part of her presentation, showcasing her handcrafted designs. Dressed in one of her beautiful pieces, I took my first steps on the runway.
The connection between art and fashion has always been strong, but experiencing it firsthand was something else entirely. Walking that runway, I felt the same energy I put into my paintings—the expression, the confidence, the storytelling. It was an unexpected but exciting part of the night, and I loved every second of it.
Recognition and Conversations
Later, I was honored on stage with a diploma from Academia de Artă Handmade București, a moment of gratitude and recognition for my work. The evening was filled with conversations—friends, collectors, fellow artists, and art lovers all coming together to connect over the pieces on display.
Throughout the night, I was interviewed by a TV crew, sharing my thoughts on my work, the exhibition, and the importance of platforms that showcase female artists. Talking about the themes in my paintings—strength, energy, and the courage to take up space—inspired some great discussions about representation in the art world.
The Days That Followed
The momentum didn’t stop after the opening night. The following days were filled with more interviews, more visitors, and more incredible moments. Art lovers, journalists, and collectors came to see the exhibition, and the conversations continued.
I had the chance to speak in-depth about my work, hear people’s interpretations, and experience firsthand how the exhibition resonated with those who visited. My paintings reflect resilience and empowerment, and seeing them connect with people in such a strong way made the entire experience even more meaningful
