There is a magnificent lake very near my home and I go jogging around it. As I run I absorb the changes of nature over days, weeks and seasons. I painted a few pictures of the lake in different seasons. This is one of my favourite, painted during the early spring, when there was an explosion of trees in bloom.
I took the easel by the lake and as I was painting away I remember this passer by who was commenting that the water in the lake is not quite as blue and that the sky is rather grey.
I guess it all depends on your own personal emotional filters. In my world, this is how spring feels to me.
